Delivering Christmas 2023: Calendar for Operations in Pre-Christmas Period

As the pre-Christmas season gets into full swing, we bring you an overview of important dates and information for this period:

On the public holiday on 17 November 2023 we are closed, even the customer centre is not operational.

Black Friday this year falls on Friday, 24 November 2023. See which e-shops you can buy from with free of charge delivery with PPL.

We spend Christmas with our families, so we are closed on 24-26 December 2023.

Between the holidays (27-29 December 2023) delivery and collection services and our customer centre are available.

We celebrate the arrival of the New Year with our nearest and dearest, so we are closed on 31 December – 1 January 2024.

From Tuesday, 2 January 2024 we are here for you again, at full strength and under normal operation (collection and delivery of parcels and customer centre).

 

We deliver a merry and convenient Christmas

At PPL, we deliver up to and including 22 December. Delivery depends on whether an e-shop manages to dispatch a package. If it is on Thursday, 21 December, over 98% of such parcels will be delivered to an address or pick-up point or box on Friday, 22 December. 

Of course, it is better to order as soon as possible and not to leave shopping to the last minute. PPL’s more than 6,000 pick-up points, which are open during opening hours, make it easy for you to pick up goods; you can collect items from boxes 24/7.

Give your nearest and dearest a gift remotely

Can’t manage to visit your loved ones before Christmas this year, but want them to unwrap their presents on Christmas Eve under the tree? Simply wrap the gift, order delivery and hand it over to the driver or take it to one of PPL’s 6,000 pick-up and drop-off points. Information for e-shops

What can you do to ensure that orders arrive under the Christmas tree in time for your customers? The most important thing is the handover deadline. If you hand over your parcels on Thursday, 21 December, over 98% of them will be delivered to the addresses or to a pick-up point or box on Friday, 22 December.

If you are handing over packages at PPL pick-up and drop-off points, be sure to check their holiday opening hours. It is possible that they will be different to the standard hours in the run-up to Christmas.

 

With us you have Christmas under control

We are ready for the 2023 season. Our network of 29 locations, which we have expanded to include additional transhipment points, newly opened depots across the country and increased capacity of seasonal employees will also contribute to its success. We have thus increased our transport capacity to 500,000 shipments per day. This year, our mojePPL mobile app and an expanded network of pick-up points will make it easier for “baby Jesuses” to pick up their packages.
