PPL Lends a Helping Hand

At PPL, we have been actively involved in projects to help children and their families for a long time, we cooperate with non-profit organizations and foundations
and we do what we do best for humanitarian causes - delivering shipments by van and truck.
Helping others is part of our collective DNA and, in line with our aim of “Connecting People - Improving Lives”, we help where it is needed most

Helping Children

Tereza Maxová Foundation for Children
We are a proud partner of the Teribear Moves Prague project and, together with our employees, we actively participate in it. In 2022, we supported children from the Staňkov and Most children’s homes and paid their entry fees for this event. In cooperation with the Foundation, we support mothers with children from shelters and help abused and mistreated children in the framework of the “WAY OUT OF HELL” project.

Let’s Give Children a Chance
We bring joy to children and young people from children’s homes, whom the non-profit organization Let’s Give Children a Chance helps to find their way to independence. We regularly provide discounted prices for sending packages to cooperating children’s homes.

Open Future - You Can Do It!
In cooperation with the Open Future association, we are involved in the You Can Do It! project, which helps young people growing up outside their biological family to find employment. Read more.

PPL Cycle Collection
We also regularly organise aid collections with our employees. In 2022, it was a cycle collection - employees brought in bicycles, scooters, children’s kickback scooters and other cycling equipment to their depots, which we then donated to children and their parents from shelters across the Czech Republic.

We Also Help Elsewhere

Aid to Ukraine
In the context of the conflict in Ukraine, in cooperation with our carriers, we transported material aid, medical and packaging material to the places where it was most needed - to refugee camps, asylum centres and aid centres. We cooperated with the Tereza Maxová Foundation, the Veronika Kašáková Foundation, the Šatník and Dvůr Kobylisy charitable organizations and the Archdiocesan Charity of Olomouc.

In cooperation with the PPF Foundation, The Kellner Family Foundation and the Ministry of Education, we joined the Textbooks for Ukraine project. We provided free delivery of over 17,000 shipments of textbooks for children and adults.

Vita et Futura Foundation
We supported the Vita et Futura fund dedicated to care for women with breast cancer, under the auspices of the Mammography Centre at the General University Hospital in Prague.

Barrier Account
In cooperation with our employees, we cycled over 13,000 km as part of the Bike to Work project and financially supported the Barrier Account’s Bionic Hand for Little Ondra project.

Helping Employees

Through employee collections, Donio and the DHL Group’s We Help Each Other (WHEO) Foundation, we help our colleagues who find themselves in difficult situations due to natural disasters, war and other external circumstances.

In addition to financial and material assistance, we also organise psychotherapeutic and psychological help for our employees to help them cope with the consequences of their difficult situations. We also support them in their volunteer activities.

We Educate

We focus on supporting the education of our future generations. We cooperate with high schools and universities across the Czech Republic on student internships, participate in lectures and provide students with professional assistance in the preparation of bachelor’s and master’s dissertations.

We organise excursions to our facilities and give students a glimpse into the world of logistics. Our employees actively participate in various educational activities in primary schools.

We organize open days for the public at our depots with a varied programme and guided tours.

We also have mobile traffic playgrounds for children, where the youngest visitors can try out the rules of the road live.
