PPL CZ plans to build its own charging infrastructure for its electrified fleet, which will be supplied and installed by ChargeUp in cooperation with the Spanish manufacturer of charging stations Circontrol. There are currently five dozen charging stations, and their number should reach a hundred by the end of next year. "The first stage of the project will cover 15 regional depots and we are pleased that PPL CZ has chosen the ChargeUp solution. Our big competitive advantage was a comprehensive offer, a team of experienced people and flexibility," says Radim Kašpárek, Production Director of ChargeUp. The next phase of expansion and construction of the charging infrastructure in the other depots of PPL CZ is planned for the next three years.

The delivery also includes project preparation and documentation, provision of cable distribution, high and low current and installation of the charging stations themselves. The charging stations will be connected to the ChargeUp CPO control system, with which PPL CZ will manage and monitor the stations remotely. At depots where there is a problem with reserved electricity capacity, so-called Dynamic Load Management will be installed for smart load management, which will distribute the available power between active charging points. Through the smart ChargeUp ESP mobile application and RFID cards, PPL CZ drivers will be able to authorize and start charging their electric vehicles, not only in their own network, but also at hundreds of charging stations in the Czech Republic and abroad.

"Reducing our carbon footprint is an integral part of our strategy, which is why, among other things, we are constantly expanding our electrified fleet and equipping depots with sustainable elements. The own charging network is key to the smooth delivery of parcels in an ecological way. Thanks to the comprehensive ChargeUp solution and related professional services, our drivers will have their electric vans reliably charged every morning, and our customers can therefore look forward to the same quality services with a lower carbon footprint," says David Voznička, operations director of PPL CZ.

The cooperation of the Department of Logistics with PPL CZ is not only about practical familiarization of students with the issues of KEB services by organizing professional lectures and seminars or elaboration of company topics for qualification theses. The most popular with students are always excursions to real operations.
