Christmas 2022 we deliver without hesitation

The company is thus still handling and delivering extremely high volumes of parcels this season, without reducing the storage time of the dispensing points. We are developing our infrastructure to ensure that we are as close to our customers as possible. In Hustopeče we opened the 4th depot in South Moravia with direct connection to Slovakia and Austria. We have a brand-new international transshipment centre up and running in Hradec Králové. Thanks to its connection to the DHL network, we are speeding up shipments across Europe and increasing our capacity in the Czech Republic to half a million shipments a day," says Petr Horák, CEO of PPL CZ. "This year we will deliver 50 million stories with happy endings," he adds.

"Compared to the third quarter, we are delivering 150,000 more parcels per day. Since the preparation for the season is year-round and the capacity of our transport network is sufficient, we have not experienced any major complications so far. We are expecting the greatest demand in the period just before the Christmas holidays and we deliver up to and including 23 December,"says Milan Loidl, Vice President of business development & marketing at PPL CZ.
Delivery of the last parcels before Christmas

Delivery will depend on when the e-shop can dispatch the package. If it is on Thursday 22 December, PPL will deliver over 98 per cent of such parcels on Friday 23 December and a gift will be under the tree on Saturday. Of course, it's better to order as early as possible and not leave your shopping to the last minute, but these packages will also be taken care of.

Dispensing points:
In addition to delivery by driver to an address, PPL customers currently have over 4,000 PPL dispensing points in the Czech Republic. At present, the capacity of PPL Parcelboxes with 75 boxes is sufficient, and PPL Parcelshops have also been contracted for the season with sufficient capacity. "However, due to the greater rush of packages before Christmas, we recommend that customers collect their parcels as soon as possible after receiving the notification," warns Milan Loidl.
PPL's transport network has 25 depots throughout the Czech Republic and 2 transhipment points. Over 2,000 professional drivers, 1,000 temporary workers and another 1,000 employees are currently working on Christmas deliveries. For this season, the number of cars before Christmas is around 2,000.
