Dear customers, we have noticed an increase in the number of fake SMSs requesting payment for the extra weight of a shipment on our behalf - on behalf of PPL. These messages are fraudulent and are not sent by us. Please be careful in any interaction with these SMS and pay attention to details.

How to spot a fraudulent SMS?

Here are some tips on how to spot this kind of fraud:

❌ Sender of the message. SMS messages from PPL are not sent from a regular phone number - the sender is displayed as ‘PPL’.

❌ Additional surcharges. We never ask for ‘extra’ money from you. The only time we require payment in connection with a shipment is for shipments you have ordered COD.

❌ Suspicious website. Fraudulent SMS messages often contain a web link that contains a different address than the official ppl.cz address (e.g. ppl-abc.def).

💡 TIP: The most reliable and secure source of information is the mojePPL mobile app.

If you suspect unusual communication or are unsure whether or not it is a scam, please contact us at info@ppl.cz. We will look into it together and resolve everything.

Thank you and please remain vigilant.
