The Czech e-commerce customer has evolved over the last 24 years and has specific habits. What are they? This was also the topic of the PLUS Interview with Petr Horák, CEO of the shipping company PPL CZ.

Currently, there are almost 50,000 online shops in the Czech Republic. According to the CEO of PPL CZ, which is the leader among Czech parcel carriers and with more than 6,000 dispatch points, PPL offers fast and easy sending of parcels across the Czech Republic and Europe. "The turn of the millennium has moved us into the digital age throughout the Czech Republic and across Europe," says Petr Horák.

In 2023, Czech e-commerce will reach a total turnover of CZK 185 billion for goods sold. This represents a year-on-year decline of 6 percent. "We felt the year-on-year decline and pressure on sales and our customers, especially last year. On the other hand, in terms of the number of volumes shipped, which grew double digits, it means that consumers were looking for cheaper, perhaps smaller pieces that they did not buy online in the past," Petr Horák describes the situation on Interview PLUS.
